I'm PGA Professional David Baker, lead teaching professional at The Shropshire Golf Centre.

I offer first class tuition using Trackman technology at our newly refurbished driving range.

I teach complete beginners through to seasoned golfers and take care to adapt my style to the needs of the pupil.

My Story

I started playing golf at the age of six, and over the past 30 years have accumulated a vast amount of knowledge about the game.

As an avid Junior golfer I attained a handicap of 3 by the age of 15 and was playing to scratch by age 17, winning multiple club and regional county events.

I attended Oxford Brookes University and majored in Anthropology & Sociology Bsc, which gave me a great perspective on human behaviours and how humans learn.

I've played the game professionally for many years and have competed in both national and international events, and have now dedicated myself to teaching the game full-time since I gained my PGA qualification in 2014.

Over the years I've developed a coaching style that strikes a balance between technical, yet simple to understand.
